When I started working on this garden in 2020 it was dominated by evergreen shrubs with very little colour. My brief was to introduce colour and all year interest. We lifted the canopies of the existing shrubs to make room for planting underneath whilst still keeping the privacy. We also constructed a raised bed around the patio area to make a divide from the rest of the garden.

This is a garden in Eakring which I’ve been developing over a few years, the grounds had very little planting when I started . The different areas I’ve developed include a ‘hot’ bed and a woodland border . In the fruit and vegetable areas I constructed several raised beds and a 3 bay compost bin.

The clients wanted an outside dining area to entertain, a place  for a small table and chairs to have breakfast and a lawn for children to play on.

My client wanted the unattractive retaining wall hidden  so we built in front of the original wall and made it slightly higher to give more room for planting.
